The Transparency in Coverage Rule requires health insurers and group health plans to make machine readable files (MRFs) publicly accessible beginning on July 1, 2022. Velentix has fully insured medical plans for its employees administered by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
To meet this requirement MRFs will be posted monthly on Anthem.com. This location is publicly available and accessible to all, and no authentication is required. This link leads to the MRFs and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The MRFs are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to access and analyze data more easily.
